YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL YOUNGBLOOD named executors of all and singular the goods rights and credits of WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD late of York District deceased when so ever any of the said goods and chattels of the said deceased are or do repair within the said parts and places and which shall be shown on to you by the said JOHN W. YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL YOUNGBLOOD and these review and appraise all and every the said good and chattels being first duly sworn to make a true and perfect inventory and appraisement thereof and to cause the same to be returned under your hand as or any three or four of you to the said JOHN W. YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL YOUNGBLOOD on or before the 1st day of March next. THOMASSON, ordinary of York District, JAMES BRIAN, DAVID JACKSON and JOHN KERR being three of the appraisers appointed to appraise the goods and chattels of WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD deceased who being duly sworn made of that they would make a just and true appraisement of all and singular, the goods and chattels of the said WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD deceased as shall be produced by JOHN W. YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL YOUNGBLOOD executors of the estate of said WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD deceased and that they would return the same certified under their hands on to JOHN W. W. YOUNGBLOOD sheweth that their father WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD departed this life on the 8th of December last [1842], intestate and at the time of his death was seized and possessed of a considerable estate both real and personal. That your petitioners are desirous of administering on the estate of said deceased. They therefore pray that you would grant them a citation for all the kindred and creditors to meet in your court on a day therein to be mentioned to show cause, if any they can, why letters of administration should not be granted to your petitioners letters of administration on the estate of said deceased & your petitioners will every pray & c. YOUNGBLOOD Page 6 of 11 ** PAGE BREAK ** Probate, SC, York, William Youngblood 1843 State of South Carolina York District By BENJAMIN CHAMBERS Esquire ordinary of York District To JOHN W. & SAMUEL YOUNGBLOOD Whereas WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD late of York District deceased lately died intestate having whilst he lived and at the time of his death divers goods rights and credits within the district before said by means whereof the full disposition and power of granting the administration of all in singular the goods rights and credits of the said deceased and also auditing the accounts calculations and reckonings of the said Administration and final this dismission of the same to me is manifestly known to belong. I desiring that the goods rights and credits of the said deceased may well and truly be well and truly administered covered end converted and disposed of do hereby grant unto the said JOHN W. YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL YOUNGBLOOD in whose fidelity in this behalf I very much confide full power by the tenor of these presents to administer the goods rights and credits of the said deceased which to him and his lifetime and at the time of his death did belong and to ask leave recover and receive the same to pay the debts and which the deceased stood obliged so far forth as his goods rights and credits will extend according to their rate in order of law being first sworn on the holy evangelist of almighty God to make a true and perfect inventory thereof and to exhibit the same into the ordinaries office in York court house in order to be recorded on or before the first day of April now next ensuing and to render a just and true account calculation and Reckoning of the set administration when thereunto required. And I ordain depute and constitute you the said JOHN W. YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL YOUNGBLOOD administrator of all in singular the goods rights and credits of the said deceased. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 23rd day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three and in the sixty seventh year of American independence. YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL C. YOUNGBLOOD, JAMES BRIAN & DAVID JACKSON are holden and firmly bound unto BENJAMIN CHAMBERS, Esquire, ordinary for the district of York in the full and just sum of six thousand dollars lawful money of this state, to be paid to the said BENJAMIN CHAMBERS or his successors, ordinaries of this district, or their certain attorney or assigns. To which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, and every of us, our and every of our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, for the whole, and in the whole, jointly and severally, firmly by these Presents, Sealed with our seals, and dated the 23rd day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three. The condition of this obligation is such, that if the above bound J. W. YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL C. YOUNGBLOOD administrators of the good, chattels and credits of WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD deceased, do make, or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, or possession, or knowledge of the said J. W. YOUNGBLOOD & SAMUEL C. YOUNGBLOOD or into the hands or possession of any other persons for them and the same so made do exhibit into the said court of ordinary at such time as they shall be hereunto required by the said court, and the same goods, chattels and credits do well and truly administer according to law, and make a just and true account of his actings and doings, where by law required, is all the xxx of the said goods, chattels and credits which shall be found remaining upon account of the said administration the same be first allowed by the said court shall deliver & pay unto such persons respectively as one entitled to the same by law; & if it shall thereafter appear that any last will & testament was made by the said deceased & the said J. YOUNGBLOOD, administrators of WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD, deceased, sheweth that in order to pay debts & make a just distribution of the estate of the said deceased, it will be necessary to sell the personal property. C. YOUNGBLOOD administrators of the goods and chattles of WILLIAM YOUNGBLOOD deceased have petitioned the court for liberty to sell personal property of said estate, and it appearing proper, upon due investigation, to grant the prayer of the said petition: THESE are therefore to permit and empower the said J. W. & S. C. YOUNGBLOOD to expose to sale at public out-cry, at the deceased’s late residence on the sixteenth day of February next & day following if necessary the property of the said estate, which may have com into your hands, to the highest bidder, on a credit of twelve months for all sums above five dollars, taking bond with sufficient security; five dollars, and all sums under, cash on delivery, fifteen days previous notice to be given by public advertisement, and a return of the the proceedings of said sale, to be by you made to the ordinary’s office aforesaid, within the time prescribed by law.
