Married near this place on Sunday the 29th ult., by James Jefferys, Esq., Mr.
CHARLES PEARSON, of North Carolina, to Miss MARY A. MURPHY, of this District.

      Issue of June 9, 1853

Married on Thursday the 2d inst., by Ezekiel Fewell, Esq., Mr. CHARLES
MCILWAIN, and Miss VIOLET JANE, daughter of JAMES MCCALLUM, all of this
District.

Died in this District on Thursday 2d inst., Mr. JOSHUA HUDSON, in the 58th
year of his age.

Of consumption, at the residence of the Rev. Silas J. Feemster, in Lowndes
County, Miss., on the 15th of May, ult., Mr. SAMUEL DAVIS, son of the late
Rev. WILLIAM C. DAVIS, of York District, S. C.

On the 25th of May, at his residence in Chester District, Rev. JAMES LOURY, in
the 74th year of his age.

      Issue of June 16, 1853

Married in this place on the 8th inst., by Rev. J. M. H. Adams, Mr. WALKER B.
METTS, of Laurens District to Miss M. AMANDA, daughter of the late ANDREW
M'CONNELL, of this District.

Departed this life in this District on the 13th instant, Maj. THOMAS C. BLACK,
in the 27th year of his age. (eulogy).

      Issue of June 22, 1853

Married in this District on the 16th inst., by Rev. S. L. Watson, Mr. JAMES T.
WARREN, to Miss MARGARET R. MATTHEWS, all of this district.

Died at his residence in Bethel on the 8th inst., Mr. JAMES MCCULLY, in the
77th year of his age ... member of the Presbyterian Church from his youth.

In this District on Tuesday morning last, 21st instant, Mr. ROBERT CLINTON,
aged 24 years.

ABSHER to Miss LUCINDA C. KERR, all of this district.

Died in this District on Thursday last, 22d instant, Mr. ROBERT FEWELL, aged
about 55 years.

      Issue of July 6, 1853

Married on Thursday evening 30th June at the Methodist Parsonage, in Columbia,
by the Rev. Colin Murchison, W. A. LATTA, Esq., of Yorkville, S. C., to Miss
SARAH F. DEWS, of the game place.

Died on the 1st instant, in this district, Mr. JOHN U. MCELMOYLE, aged about
33 years.

      Issue of July 20, 1853

Married at Talofa, Union District, on the 12th inst., by the Rev. James M. H.
Adams, Col. SAMUEL L. MCCONNELL, of Yorkville, and Miss MARY C. HOEY, of the
former place.

Died in this place on Friday the 15th inst., Mr. EDWARD C. MCCLAIN, aged about
43 years.

In Charlotte, N. C., on Friday the 15th inst., after an illness of four days,
MARY WILLIAM, infant daughter of JAMES A. and JANE H. SADLER, aged 11 months
and 25 days.

      Issue of July 27, 1853

Married in this District, on Wednesday the 20th inst., by Ezekiel Fewell,
Esq., Mr. John Garrison and Miss MARY, eldest daughter of Mr. JONATHAN M.
NEELY, all of this district.

Died in this District on the 14th inst., ELIZA ELANORA, only daughter of Mr.
R. LEROY and MARY A. ADAMS, aged one year, three months and one day.

      Issue of August 3, 1853

Died in this district on Friday last, 29th ult., Mrs. MARY SAVILLE, aged about
75 years.

In this district near Fort Mill, on Sunday last, 31st ult., Mr. STREETER, aged
about 35 years.
