BRYAN Thomas Bryan, a native of Waterford, Ireland, where he was born Mar. 17, 1741, settled in Maryland and served in the Militia during the Revolutionary War; later settled in Jefferson Co., Ky. REF: Revolutionary Pension Claims, S3050, National Archives. BUCHANAN Isabella, daughter of John Buchanan and Elizabeth his wife, late of the Parish of Clownis in Ireland, buried 18 June 1719. BUCKLAND William Buckland, born Oxfordshire, England, was nephew of James Buckland of London under whom he was bound as an apprentice in design and construction, settled in Annapolis, where he was responsible for the beauty of a number of eighteenth century buildings in Annapolis and the surrounding area. Annapolis consequently today has more original eighteenth century dwellings than Williamsburg. He died in 1774 at the age of 40, and left issue. REF: William Buckland, by Beirne and Scard, pub. 1958. BULL Thomas Bull, Aug. 15, 1668, "That my brother-in-law Samuel Lucas of Dover, Baker, and John Marsh of the Same Town to be the executors and to receive estate in England". BULLOCK Francis Bullock July 1, 1669, "And what remains to be sent home for London to be consigned to Mr. William Crouch, an Upholster, Living in Bishopgate Street at Devonshire House for the use of my mother Mrs. Joan Bullock." BURCH On Aug. 11, 1685, Solomon Burch, son of John Burch of Guilford, Surrey, clarke, deceased, was bound to John Payne for 13 years in Maryland; witnessed by Elizabeth Burch, his mother. REF: Ghirelli, folio 13. BURFORD Henry Burford, native of London, died Oct. 1818, aged 50. REF: Congressional Cemetery, Washington, D.C. BURGESS Joseph Burges (sic) in will of 23 Oct. 1672, stated, "I Joseph Burges now of Marleborough in the County of Wilts in England, Merchant, but late of the Province of Maryland. . . " appointed his father-in-law John Keynes of Marleborough Afsd, Gent., his executor. On May 22, 1674, Sir Robert Hanson, Knt, Lord Mayor of London, certified John Keynes of Marlborough, Co. Wilts, Gent., as executor of Joseph Burges, who said Keynes was about to make a voyage to Maryland "if God permits". Thomas Taylor, of Anne Arundel Co., acted as attorney for Keynes. Galloway, Ireland, Nov. 1752, settled in Montgomery Co., Md., where he enlisted in the Maryland Line of the Revolution; later lived in Scott Co., Ky.
