James Byram to Zenas Alexander James Byram to Zenas Alexander ] Mecklenburg County North Carolina ] January 21, 1819 Deed Book 19 Page 53 ] This indenture made the 21 day of January AD 1819 between James Byram Sr. of the County of Mecklenburg and state of North Carolina of the one part and Zenas Alexander of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witneseth that the said James Byram for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars to him in hand paid the receipt here of acknowledged hath granted, bargained, and sold unto the said Zenas Alexander all that tract or parcel of land containing an acre more or less situated, lying and being in aforesaid county on the waters of Little Sugar Creek joining said Alexanders land beginning at a West Dogwood on the west bank of the creek runs thence N 56 W 26 poles to a Spanish on the old line then S 23 E 13 poles to a B O then So 28 west 8 poles to a BO above the spring then So 78 E 12 poles to a dogwood on the bank of the creek then up the meanders of said creek to the beginning with all the improvements, issues, profits, and appertances what soever appertaining and revisions rents to have and to hold and all singular the rights and premises unto Zenas Alexander his heirs, executors assigns against me my heirs executors and administrators and all and every other persons whatever I hath and will warrant these presents forever defend.
